Geez, raising a boy is hard some weeks! But I believe you can learn a thing or two from a 6 year old boy. This is what Max is teaching me this week:
1. If you flex your elbow then attempt to squeeze your upper arm in that position through the narrow slats in the back of your chair, it will not come out easily. {good to know}
2. Don’t put a bar of soap up to your eye just to see what it feels like. He can tell you that it stings, it stings pretty bad.
3. Keep your eyes open when you are running and playing in a friend’s backyard. The support beams underneath a deck are not going to move out of the way for you.
4. It’s nice to get some extra hugs and kisses from Mom on a week like this. {I mean, just look at the kid! Only a mother…}

5. Speaking of good ol’ Mom, if you find a wasp’s nest on the ground outside, bring it into your house and non-chalantly hand it to her. She’ll love that.
Being a boy is all right.

Sounds like quite a week! The wasp’s nest incident would have given me a heart attack! Here’s hoping that this week will be a bit quieter, and injury-free.
i love this, but your last point really summed it up. As much as I believe I’d be a great boy mom- maybe it’s good I have a girl!
Wow – sounds like activities at our house. Our little one has started climbing – all the way to the top of the stairs!
Our boys are rough-and-tumble and seem to constantly have some crash scars. The other day my girls learned that bonking foreheads into each other is less than a stellar idea – ahthough you *do* see stars afterward!
Wasp nest!! Yikes!! I would not have enjoyed that one at all!
Boys are so fun!
Oh Max!!! Thanks for giving me a heads up on what to expect!! =)
Tom Cooper – did you say girlS???
Love, love, love that picture of Max…and what a hoot every single one of those stories is – I’m just sorry for the damage!
LOL! LOL! That’s some week.
Yeah, boys will give you a run for your money. But they give the BEST hugs.
