I haven’t blogged since Thursday and it feels like it’s been a week since I wrote anything. I’ve been incredibly busy having fun this weekend and there’s much to catch you up on. I’m just too excited that in FOUR days we’ll be getting on a plane to visit A. & J.
So, I have a list for you.
- Went shopping yesterday and spent a gift card at Ann Taylor Loft. Big sale. I got a pair of jeans for $17.99 and a $79 sweater was marked down to $24. Of course, I couldn’t resist buying another sweater full-price because it was what the manequin was wearing. Such the bargain hunter I am, huh? But, regardless. Wahoo!
- Saw the movie, Juno. It was great and I have a need to discuss this movie with anyone interested. It’s rated PG-13 and while I would not want my 13 year old going to see it, I think it would spark a great conversation with a high schooler (who goes to public school and is fully aware of today’s secular teen culture). It depicted open adoption accurately in some parts and was way off base in others. Still, I laughed, felt nervousness, empathy, and cried. Who wants to see it again with me then grab a cup of coffee (I’ll order hot chocolate) afterwards?
- Went to dinner with my mom at Potbelly’s last night, just the two of us. We had a great time and she is sooo excited about becoming a Grammy for the 8th time. Go, Grammy.
- I spent some time on Saturday organizing the baby’s closet. I am glad to report that nothing heavy fell on top of me after I opened the door and I did not suffer a serious head trauma. There are now five huge rubbermaid containers of baby boy clothes ready to be given away, should everything go well with the adoption and the two ultrasounds didn’t lie. My friend, Kate, will not allow me to believe 100% that we are having a girl since her own experience of carrying “Kelly” ended up in the birth of “Bryan” after multiple ultrasounds. And her husband is a physician. So, Kate. I’m keeping the blue clothes just in case
- I got another email from A. and we will probably talk on the phone today. So excited about everything!
- You are now all caught up. The weekend went by so fast just like the last 3 weeks. This week will be nice and busy, as well, so hold on to your seat belts, I should have very little time to blog which means more lists coming soon. On today’s important to-do list? A haircut with highlights. Because there are priorities, you know.

it all sounds soooo good! God is sooo faithful!
I would love to chat about Juno… I saw it for work!
Very exciting Anna! Definitely hold on to the boy clothes. Ultrasounds aren’t 100%. Have a great time here in CO! We wish we could see you but we know we’ll be seeing you soon enough, friend.
Oh, and the red chair… we have 2! You can sit in the other one, and side by side we can blog.
Missed ya this weekend, but glad you had a good one and have been productive. I want to see Juno badly!! Hope to get a chance soon. Can I have a coffee instead of hot chocolate though?
Just a few more days!!! Shriek!!
Fun, fun, fun!!
I haven’t seen Juno, and I’ll order hot chocolate with you! I have a weakness for white hot chocolate. Yum.
Can’t believe it’s this weekend already! Yay!!
I do! I do! I want to go see it with you, and I’ll get hot chocolate afterward too! I’d even pay for yours!
But first, let’s just sit in that room and behold all the cute pink in that closet first, huh?!?
I want to go see Juno with you! We can cry on each other. I’ve been wanting to see it and I don’t think it’s high on Al’s list.
Mercy. I get all giddy when I see stacks of Rubbermaid containers, but when they are full of clothes? And when the next picture is of a baby’s little closet, justawaitin’ for that sweet lil baby. Then, I am a lost cause. Gootchie gootchie goo lil baby!
Sigh.
The closet looks great. I am new to your adoption story but am just so darn giddy for you! All that girliness
I have no clue what Juno is or about…I will have to look it up. BUT, I am always up for a movie. Maybe learningpatience will pay for me too…?? HAHAHA. Just kidding. Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to look up the title now.
Hope you have a great week!
Those little pink clothes look just precious! Thanks for sharing. I am so happy for you!
