Well, not actually cooking it.
My friend shared a super easy way to collect and discard cooking grease.
She lines a small Pyrex glass bowl with aluminum foil then pours the hot grease in it. Then she sticks the bowl in the freezer. When she cleans up the dinner dishes the grease has solidified already so she just wads up the aluminum foil and tosses it in the trash.
It was life-changing for me. I always hated this step in cooking UNTIL NOW!

What an excellent tip, my friend! Thanks for the shout out on the blogroll as well.
That is great!
I keep an old can way back in the corner of my fridge. It’s full of our old grease. Occasionally I see it in there and just chuck it right then. Next time I have grease I just grab a new can from under the sink, where I keep a few for this purpose. We call ‘em the “fat cans” – appetizing name, huh!?
That is an excellent idea!!!
I’ve always just dumped it into an empty oj can, but I like the freezing idea, much quicker.
Love it!
What a great, but simple, idea. Thanks!!
This is just what my mother taught me.
I love this idea — no more saving pickle jars and OJ cans! Life-changing indeed!
Great idea!
Gee, what a great idea!
And look how many think so too! Ha ha – thanks, Faith. What a great resource you are!
What an idea…why didn’t I think of that!!
What a great idea!!
